Within the DBU- funded joint research project „Multifunctional Evaluation of Agrofrestry systems“ economical and ecological aspects of Agroforestry systems are analysed by experts of forestry management, agriculture and landscape management. Agroforestry systems combine agricultural production and the cultivation of trees or shrubs on the same site.
Besides the production of high-quality-timber, wood-biomass and agricultural products, the influence of cultivation on nutrient status, erosion prevention and nature protection is examined.
